Welcome |
Thanks for visiting. SciFi-Online is an online hub for fan fiction and virtual series. There are plenty of both online, so the aim here is to group together in order to make it easier for readers who are interested to find them, as well as some other material that might interest them. In this case, the focus is on sci-fi, whether it's from an existing franchise, such as Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, or Stargate, or it's a completely original creation.
Don't know what a "virtual series" is or how it's different from regular fan fiction? Just have a look through the FAQ on the "About" page.
Member sites can be found listed on the "Member Sites" page, or you can go directly to their website by following the "Quick Links" menu at the right.

- Site Online - |
SciFi-Online has gone without a website since July, so I figured it was about time to make one. Special thanks to Nick Ottens for creating the site's banner seen at the top of the page, and to Cador Davis (aka Makaveli) for helping me to set up the forums and for allowing me to use the old TrekOnline site he built as a template for this one.

- A New Partner Site Has Joined - |
The web comic, Westward has joined SciFi-Online this summer. Very loosely based on Star Trek's first pilot, "The Cage", it is a sci-fi comic with a kind of retro feel to it. It got its start in January of this year and updates on a daily basis. Check out Westward's archive to see everything from the beginning.

- One Year of SciFi-Online - |
One year ago today I started the SciFi-Online discussion board, which was technically online before the site proper was. While the hosting and domain name were purchased quite a while before that, the only sites up were the Foundations and Guardian of Forever websites.
A year later, there have already been some changes in the website, primarily in how SciFi-Online recognizes partner sites. There will now be a new page, exactly like the Member Sites page for partner sites. Partner sites will also now be given a discussion forum. In fact, the only real distinction between member sites and partner sites is that partner sites already have their own hosting and domain name.
